I first picked up the guitar at the age of ten, learned my first three chords and I’ve been playing ever since.
I have now been playing guitar and in bands for over 20 years, having the opportunity to play across the UK, in Europe and America.
I grew up loving music and started by learning songs by my favourite bands, which I would work on and play with my friends. This developed into forming bands ourselves; writing, recording and performing our own songs. Playing gigs has been a large part of my life, both focusing on my own projects and working for others in sessional roles. I have played guitar, bass, drums, programmed, engineered and produced on a variety of recording, performance and band projects.
I hold both a Diploma and Bachelor of Music Degree (Hons) in Music Performance, DBS check and public liability insurance courtesy of the Musician’s Union.
I began teaching my first students back in 2007 and have worked with a broad range of people with diverse interests and learning styles since then; from primary school children, teenagers, adults and people who have retired and are looking to start a new hobby.
I work to meet the individual’s needs and interests, while providing a structured learning experience, teaching in an encouraging, kind and compassionate way.
